Float Away Day Retreat 10am - 3pm
Thursday 12th November 10am -11.30am
A day to get out of your head, into your body, and quite literally let go.
A day to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with yourself through movement, stillness, sound and the unique feeling of being held by a hammock.
Your hammock is at the heart of the whole experience, supporting you through movement, wrapping you up in stillness, turning your world upside down and eventually allowing you to completely let go.
Come as you are. Leave the ground behind. Float Away.
FLOAT • MOVE • RELEASE
We’ll begin with aerial yoga and myofascial release, using the hammock to support and move the body in ways that simply aren’t possible on the ground.
We’ll explore the hips and shoulders, familiar places for tension to settle, combining flowing movement, supported stretches and myofascial release to help soften tight areas, improve mobility and create a greater sense of space and ease in the body.
There’s something wonderfully liberating about being able to leave the ground behind. We’ll explore supported inversions and playful movement, using the hammock to take you somewhere a little different.
We’ll finish the morning with a deeply supported Savasana, allowing everything we’ve explored to soften and settle.
As you rest in your hammock, our massage therapist will offer a few minutes of gentle, hands-on neck and shoulder massage, helping you completely soften into the support beneath you.
By the end of the morning, you may notice a lighter body, freer movement and less of that familiar feeling of holding tension.
NOURISH
Lunch will be provided by Oskars Chai & Chaat, a local business based in South Cave.
You’ll enjoy their delicious Mix Box Special, with a choice of vegetarian or meat.
If you have any dietary requirements, please get in touch with us before booking so we can check that we’re able to accommodate you.
FLOAT DEEPER
The afternoon is where things get really dreamy.
Settle into your hammock for Floating Yoga Nidra, a guided deep-rest practice where you are completely supported and there is nothing you need to do.
Allow yourself to be held, soften into the hammock and let the day become quieter.
From there, drift into a gong bath immersion with Sarah from The Gong Space Lincolnshire, surrounded by the sound and vibration of three large gongs.
Held in your hammock, cocooned in sound, this is your chance to properly switch off and let the nervous system settle.
No effort. No expectations.
Just float.
And when the final gong fades, you can simply take your time coming back to the room.
A DAY TO LET GO
This is a day for the body as much as the mind.
You might leave feeling more open through the hips and shoulders, physically lighter, deeply rested and with some of those places you didn’t realise you were holding beginning to soften.
Or perhaps the greatest gift will simply be having spent a whole day being supported.
Only 10 spaces available.
Come and spend the day floating, moving, resting and experiencing your body in a completely different way.
Come and Float Away.
